I’m Nima Vafadar, a fashion photographer, fashion film director, and professional photo and film editor. I was born in Tabriz and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tabriz. My journey into visual arts began in 2016, shaped by a deep passion for photography and the encouragement of those around me.
I started my professional career as a freelance fashion and portrait photo editor while simultaneously pursuing photography as a personal and experimental practice. Capturing everyday moments and subtle narratives from my life played an important role in shaping my visual language. With over four years of professional experience in photo editing, I developed a more refined sensitivity to detail, light, and visual storytelling—elements that continue to form the foundation of my work.
Over time, my practice expanded into fashion photography and fashion film directing, giving me the opportunity to collaborate with several leading Iranian fashion designers. These experiences have been both inspiring and instrumental in my creative growth.
In 2023, I began my Master’s studies in Photography at Tehran University of Art, and in 2025, I successfully obtained my Master’s degree after defending my thesis.
My work is driven by a desire to reveal beauty, grace, strength, and vitality in people. Photography is not just my profession; it is a way of seeing the world—one that has reshaped my perspective and continues to guide my creative path.
